NJ Wedding Planning, New Jersey Fall Wedding, Rustic and Barn Wedding Inspiration. Fall weddings are the new Spring weddings! The majority of brides are now switching their weddings for September, October and November, where there are brighter leaves, cooler weather, and really fun colors. After having photographed close to 100 weddings including in New Jersey, New York, and Destination weddings, I’ve seen a lot of beautiful trends and unique ideas when it comes to planning your Fall wedding which I would love to share with you below

For those planning a rustic glam fall wedding, I compiled some amazing items for sale on Etsy that are absolutely adorable!!! Fall Succulent Ideas from Etsy:

Succulents are a wonderful inspiration for fall wedding planning because they go with all different types of fall colors and blend well. You can also grow your own succulents. Below are some adorable succulent wedding inspirations found from Etsy. The first is a succulent wedding invitation. The next photo is a gorgeous living succulent wreath which would be perfect for the doors to your church wedding. The lower left corner is a gorgeous bride’s bouquet from Etsy. The best part is you can keep the flowers alive after the wedding and plant themFinally, we have the succulent wedding favors on the bottom right.

UNIQUE FALL COLOR PALETTES:

The first major step in creating your perfect fall wedding, is selecting your color palette. When most people think about the Fall, they automatically assume you have to go with browns and oranges. But that is not always the case. The bride below who got married at the lovely Stone House in Warren, NJ, selected a variation of greys and well as some bright pops of contrast with the red and oranges. This is one tip I always emphasize to my brides that it’s important to have a lot of contrast in the colors between your dresses and bouquets. If you chose a white bouquet on a white dress, it would blend in too much.

Browns and Pinks

Another gorgeous palette that isn’t the common “Brown and orange” theme, is to mix up the orange with varying colors and pinks as seen below. I loved this brides idea to give the groomsmen all different ties as it really combined together well for their photos!

Another GORGEOUS wedding color combo, was a wedding I photographed this fall at Perona Farms inside a barn! It was a fabulous venue for a fall wedding and I loved the purple uplighting and purple centerpieces. The rustic look of the wedding and the purple accents were absolutely perfect for a fall wedding!

Updated versions of traditional fall colors

The wedding below was held at the GORGEOUS Ashford Estate in Allentown, NJ. This is by far one of my favorite venues to photograph and makes the perfect backdrop for a fall wedding! The bride in this wedding selected a lovely combination of more traditional oranges and reds for her colors, but with a modern twist. Her flowers were created by the amazing designers at MDS where they added the beads and sparkles to her bouquet as well as the burlap to give it a more modern twist. I also absolutely LOVED her sparkle shoes from Benjamin Adams. 

Gold, coral and Sage

For the final unique color palette, I have included a lighter look for the fall including sage, corals and gold. This wedding I photographed below, held at Crystal Springs in Hamburg, NJ, was a gorgeous color combination for brides looking for a very elegant fall color scheme. 2) Fall centerpices and decor

Selecting the perfect fall reception decor can be a daunting task with so many different options. Below are some inspirations of centerpieces and wedding decor that really tied in the rest of their fall themed wedding and made a statement to all of their guests. The centerpieces below, by MDS floral, were designed for an Ashford Estate wedding and had the perfect mix of bright fall colors with a rustic look.

The wedding below, held in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, was a wedding I photographed in my first season and was absolutely gorgeous! The bride Laura came up with so many unique decor ideas including the various colored paper lanterns in her tent, personalized pumpkins, gourds, Flowers and pumpkins from the farm where she got married, gorgeous greenery and brown accents.

Barn weddings are perfect for fall as you can decorate the entire thing with floral accents.
