New Jersey Wedding photographers tutorial Skin tone editing tutorial
I decided to make this video public because a lot of people ask me about skin tone correction in photography. Depending on where you are photo graphing. If you are shooting among green grass, then automatically, your couple will probably have more green tones to their skin because of the bounced light from the sun on the grass which goes to the couple. If you are shooting on sand, then your skin tones will be a lot smoother and nicer. As you can see on the video, skin tones look better when you correct them and in this instance I used the curves adjustment layer in Photo shop. I then used the white dropper tool. You then select random white points all over with the white dropper tool to find the best skin tone you like. As you can see, I clicked around several different times to find the perfect white spot. It’s really a trial and error type of editing and you use what works best for each individual photo. Once you find a great edit you can also save them in a PSD or drag and drop them into other photos for consistency. You can also do an automate for batch editing but when I have tried this it seems to take a lot longer which is why lightroom is better for batch editing a lot of photos. You can also use it on teeth but then just lower the opacity. I also love to use this curves adjustment tool with the black colored dropper tool. It helps if things look a bit washed out and you click over the black areas on the photos to give it a pop and then add contrast. If you guys enjoy this, maybe I will do more photography tutorials
