NYC Hipster Wedding Styled Shoot with NJ Wedding Photographer Kay English
Wohoo! I love doing styled shoots and this one was no exception!!!!!!!! I came up with the idea to do a mini NYC hipster wedding shoot a few months earlier and I really wanted to work again with Claire La Faye, who makes AMAZING wedding gowns, and who I worked with at our anthropologie once upon a dream shoot. Claire sent over the most gorgeous dresses and it made me even more excited to photograph! I used my contax645 which is one of my FAVORITE cameras that I literally wish I could use at every shoot. It takes a bit of time to load and re-load the film, but the quality is like no other! I also shot some of the photos in digital
Jen and Dan were the perfect models for the shoot and were so great to work with! Coming up with a lot of fun ideas including bringing Oliver the puppy, and some other props including the sunglasses. I created the floral bouquet for the shoot, and we got to go around where Jen and Dan live by Tribeca for the NYC hipster wedding styled shoot. We walked around with Ollie and captured photos of the couple in the city. I loved the NYC hipster wedding murals that we stumbled upon and took photos in front of as well. Then we had the chance to take photos with some props and even get gelato! It was a really fun shoot and I’m so happy to have captured it!
