Winter Wedding- Ashley and Phil’s winter wonderland wedding was just beyond gorgeous! The wedding reception was held at the incredible and majestic Ashford Estate Allentown, NJ. Being a preferred vendor at all weddings of distinction venues, I have photographed at the Ashford Estate many times, but have never photographed a winter wedding there so I was very excited when the snow started coming down. It had been lightly flurrying all day, which made the perfect ambiance for backlit wedding photos. Ashley got ready in Millstone, NJ and I just absolutely loved her details. Especially her Louboutin sparkle gold shoes! Her dress was absolutely gorgeous and was accented with sparkles and sequence. I also had the privilege of working with Mary Bradley, the amazing wedding planner at Mary Bradley Events.
After the ceremony, we headed over to the Ashford at just the right time to photograph the beautiful couple with snow all around the estate. Phil and Ashley’s details were so perfect for a winter wedding! Her cake had giant sparkle snowflakes as well as a snow globe cake topper. Two white Christmas trees were placed on the side of the head table, the beautiful centerpieces included white orchids and white candles. I loved their snowflake giant ice sculpture and Christmas ornament place cards. But one of my favorite details included the beautiful winter themed sugar cookies with ice hockey sticks, snowflakes, ice skating boots and more!
Right before cocktail hour, we got to take several more photos outside as it was just getting dark, and I used backlighting to light up the snow. It was really a winter wonderland!!! Another favorite part of the night for me was the song the couple danced to, “So caught up in you” by .38 special! This is one of my favorite songs and I have never seen it as a first dance song before
It was also beautifully choreographed!! Congratulations Ashley and Phil and thank you so much for letting me photograph your special day!!!!
